Day 1 - 7 Days to Sacred Mornings

Today we look at the importance of bringing mindfulness to our physical, mental and emotional body. There are so many ways this serves us in our morning practice, but to name just a few...

  • Taking time to observe the emotional body allows us FEEL and PROCESS our emotions which actually only takes about 90 seconds if we stop feeding them with stories in our mind and justifications
  • When we observe the mind we can truly understand that WE ARE NOT OUR THOUGHTS - how can we be when we are sat watching them? So we can have more discernment and manage our minds with care - like gently parenting a disgruntled toddler who hasn't had a nap.
  • We often live disconnected from our physical body, especially if we have experienced trauma as well as living in a society that puts more emphasis on thinking - thus we become disconnected from the present moment - the only thing that truly exists
  • And finally when we can foster a mindset of non-judgement, we are more able to do the things we need to do without exhausting ourselves with the emotional baggage we are creating.

So if it's not in your morning practice already a few moments of mindfulness in relation to ALL COMPONENTS OF SELF is going to serve you in not only healing but your ability to operate effectively in this modern world.
