Things to think about...
1. What time are you going to do your daily meditation?
2. Can you build on an established habit?
3. Where are you going to meditate? Can you make a sacred space for your meditation?
4. What might you want to have for your meditation practice? Maybe blankets, cushions, candles, incense.....
5. Do you want to keep a journal of your experience?
Most importantly if you miss a day...forgive yourself, let it go and begin again
Week 1 - Starting with the basics
Some things to bare in mind....
- try to keep the spine straight - you can do this against a wall, on a chair or using cushion to prop up your hips
- if at anytime you become distracted during the meditation, know this is fine, just come back to the breath
-and most importantly enjoy the experience and the journey - soon enough you will wonder how you ever coped without it!
